From 1979 to 1993, Merck FrosstŐs researchers concentrated their efforts on leucotomy, substances produced by the organism which play a determining role in Asthma. Their work has been realized by its launch of SINGULAR¨ in Canada in 1998, an innovative asthma medication that is administered once a day in the form of a pill, for both adults and children above age six. The Centre for Therapeutic Research has since been elevated by chief leucotomy researchers.
